MERRY CHRISTMAS!
I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving Day & now Christmas is upon us. Seems that the year really went by fast. I guess when you stay busy, time slips away without realizing it. This has been one of the busiest for the AARA. Hamfest, Field Day, Club Picnic, and the Cajun Cup Run, just a few of the events that keep us on our toes and I must admit, we all had FUN! Our plans for 2003 are bigger and better and with your help, we can make it possible. At the November meeting, a nominating committee was selected for selecting officers for year 2002-2003. If you have any suggestions, please contact WD5FDD - Stu, KD5TJZ - Kathy or KD5JCT - Calvin and let them know your choice. The AARA has been asked to help in another marathon race similar to the Cajun Cup Run on Saturday December 7th, at Acadiana Park off E. Alexander Street in Lafayette. We plan to have the AMOS Van as a command post, to have persons along the course with HT's to relay back to AMOS information along the course. We also plan to have the HF transceiver set up to work some of the special event stations. December 7th is Pearl Harbor Day and SkyWarn Recognition Day. Sounds like another FUN event.
The December General Meeting will be on December 5th at 7:00 p.m. at the Red Cross Building at 101 N. Pat Street, Scott, Louisiana. It will be a (Continued on page 3)
