The Analysts

August 1976 to February 1982

The Analysts is a oil field related company that monitors the logging and drilling of gas and oil wells. My primary duties involved the repair and calibration of monitoring and sensing equipment used at the drilling site. Most of this equipment was gas detectors and gas analizers. Sensors are used to monitor drilling depth, drilling rate, mud weight and pressure, and weight on the drill bit.

Other duties included the "inventory" of mud logging units (portable buildings & trailers used as offices for mud loggers and equipment). Each unit had a specific supply inventory that had to be maintained at all times. No unit went out into the field without this inventory being present unless otherwise made known to person(s) in charge of this unit.
