AARA Meeting and Net Information
General Meetings
The club's General Meetings will continue to be held the first Thursday of the month at 7:00 PM in the party room of the Candyland Cottage and Ice Cream Shoppe located at 109 Benoit Patin Road in Scott, LA. Everyone is welcome to attend and see what is going on in the area with ham radio.
VE Exams
When possible, Amateur Radio Examinations (VE Exams) will be conducted prior to the club meetings starting at 6:00 PM. Information regarding VE Exams can be found here. Please arrive as early as possible to help insure adequate time is available to complete your exam before the meeting starts.

VHF/UHF Nets
The "AARA Monday Night Net" is held each Monday night at 7:00 PM on the 146.820 MHz W5DDL repeater.
The "Acadiana SKYWARN Net" is held each Tuesday night at 7:00 PM on the 147.040 MHz W5EXI repeater.
The "Silent Key Memorial Net" is held each Wednesday night at 7:00 PM on the 146.820 MHz W5DDL repeater.
The "Rag Chew Net" is held each Thursday night (except for the first Thursday of the month) at 8:00 PM on the 147.040 MHz W5EXI repeater.
All amateur operators are welcome to check into these nets. You may find interesting information regarding emergency communication situations, traffic handling, "Ham Radio Trading Posts", meeting info, events and making new friends that may be able to help with radio and computer problems.
